But today I read a great tip from Jennifer at Conversion Diary. And it is not at all difficult or even revolutionary. It is basically common sense, the tip is and I quote"BE YOURSELF. Be wholly, unapologetically yourself." Then she goes on to use a favorite quote from St. Catherine of Siena, so I am sold on this be myself idea.
I also read about the Pope's message for World Communications Day and am firmly convinced that we who blog, tweet, facebook, pin, tumbl, YouTube, and more as Catholics are needed. If you read the news link from the Vatican you'll see that the Pope says so too, so even if you don't want to believe me, you should believe the Pope. We can be the voice of truth and reason, proclaiming the good news to those who read our posts, check our status, or eye our board.
Be yourself while you spread the Word. And remember, you will never be bored working for the Lord!

You just gave me the incentive to keep on blogging! I've only been at it since March 2011, and already I sometimes wonder if I'm wasting my time. My blog is not as polished and interesting as many of the ones I read; I have very few followers and they're mostly family and close friends; and I'm not even sure if what I have to say is all that worthwhile.
But I do try to write Faith-based posts on a fairly regular basis...and if the Pope himself thinks that using a blog to promote Catholicism is a good thing, then maybe I won't quit just yet. :)
