Overheard at Mass

Priest:  "The Gospel according to Matthew"
Man in the pew behind RCIA ladies:  "Again with Matthew!"

The RCIA ladies told me this while we were discussing the Sunday readings.  I didn't hear the man, but I explained to them that we'd be hearing lots from Matthew since we are in Cycle A which is Matthew.

If we sit near him again and he says it again, should I tell him what's going on?  Or should I write up something for the bulletin and hope he reads it? Does the average person in the pew know the whole cycle of readings plan or is it not important?
