Read this encyclical in its entirety for class tonight.
As I reflected on it I became more aware that Catholics really don't understand what they are for or against when it comes to Church teachings. Indeed, one classmate said, "this is beautiful, this is what I want for my children to have when they get married." We have a tremendous responsibility to educate the person in the pew and at times it seems as if we are failing miserably. If people cannot see the value in praying, attending Mass or going to confession how can we reach them with other truths.
