I was eager to read this small volume on St. Joseph, "Go To Joseph" by Fr. Richard W. Gilsdorf, to learn more about him. While I agree that St. Joseph took wonderful care of Mary and Jesus, forming the Holy Family and that he is an excellent role model for fathers, I found much of the book to be forced, almost conjecture to try to convince the reader of Joseph's holiness.
That St. Joseph was a holy man and worthy to be Mary's spouse and Jesus' father does not need to be proven. The fact that God choose him is enough for me. I think by spending time focusing on possibilities rather than facts I lost interest. I did like the analogy of the Holy Family to the Trinity and the prayers in the appendix.
