This Wednesday, being Ash Wednesday and next weekend, the first Sunday of Lent we are having a "Prayer Fair" at church. The main purpose is to give people some tools for prayer during Lent and to ask them to make a commitment to praying everyday. We will also distribute a Lenten edition of our parish newsletter.
Prayer is so essential to being able to show the love of Christ to others. It is when I surrender myself to God in prayer that I am most able to serve him with joy.

I am really looking forward to Lent this year! Perhaps I will lose steam midway through, but as of this hour, I am really excited about it. I love the chance to draw into a deeper relationship with Christ and feel like I'm in a good place to do that this year. Thanks for adding my blog to your blog list, by the way!
